I'm currently making a (not-weighted!) Companion Cube Cushion. I started cutting out during exams, and I'm using lots and lots of vliesofix and applique and interfacing to make everything neat because of the stretch fabrics (something my friends will be familiar with my obsession over, from when I made a massive Garfield cushion a few years ago).
---- This is a closeup of the loveheart - I read on a forum somewhere that the heart is actually the default Adobe PhotoShop elements heart shape, so I referenced a screenshot and made a template! Here you can see the baby fabric I used for the heart (it's got a pile like towelling but it's SO soft!) and the applique round the edges. I swear the sewing looks less lumpy in real life *grumpy* When I'm finished, these WIP pics will be scrapped. WIP Pic 1: [link] |
